Sharing Your SimpleLab Report

Whether you need to share it with a treatment provider, a plumbing company, an engineer, an inspector, or anybody else, you can share your SimpleLab report easily and securely by following these steps:

1. Sign into your account at gosimplelab.com with your username and password and navigate to “Manage tests.” It works the same way whether you are on a team or in a personal dashboard. You'll see a “Pending” tab and a “Results” tab.
2. Navigate to any test under Results. Click “View” on the one you want to share. You’ll find a button that reads “Share & Print” A pop-up sharing control panel will reveal two options “Anyone with the link” and “Online sharing disabled”: 
• “Anyone with the link.” Anyone with the link generated below will have the ability to see your report. Note: You can anonymize the report so anyone who sees the link will see only the portions of the report that do not contain personally identifying information by clicking on the corresponding box.
• “Online sharing is disabled.” If online sharing is disabled, your report can only be viewed by signing in to your SimpleLab account with your username and password.

Your SimpleLab report should only be shared using the “Share & Print” feature. We encourage you to never share the original link received via email with anyone or your account details.

Report Download

Sometimes, you need a copy of the report saved on your computer. Rather than sharing the link, you’ll want to move below the “Copy Link” button to “Download file.” There, you'll find options for generating a download. You can opt for a PDF summary with or without evaluation. 

You also have options to change the report’s format by toggling through various file types. As with “Sharing,” you have the choice to anonymize your report or not.

SimpleLab Data Privacy

Privacy is extremely important to SimpleLab. We take great care to ensure you have control over how your private data is managed. Furthermore, should you choose to share your results with someone else, SimpleLab’s report-sharing feature maintains the most secure and sophisticated functionalities available.

For our published research, environmental data tools, and environmental data products, we always anonymize, de-identify, and aggregate customer environmental data. That means it cannot be connected to the customer or household where the test was performed.

• Data and software tools are built in-house by SimpleLab. Our tools only integrate with reputable third party platforms for cloud data storage and processing, where necessary.
• Customer and results data is protected in-transit and while stored in our servers using industry standard encryption methods . 
• We do not store credit card numbers in any database managed by SimpleLab or Tap Score. You will communicate directly with Stripe for card and payment processing, which is PCI compliant when storing and processing credit card information.
• Our site is only accessible via HTTPS. This ensures a secure connection and interaction with our site at all times.

Your Email Address

Your personal data will never be shared with anyone except for you. Every SimpleLab report is only ever sent to the email address provided by the individual who placed the test kit order. 

If there’s an issue with your email address, update your information in your SimpleLab account settings. Other issues are managed on a case by case basis. You can contact the support team through our live chat or email if you need assistance. 

Note: You must have access to the original email address in order to change it to a new one. If you do not have access to the original email address then you can confirm the order details or credit card information.

Your Personal Report Sharing Settings

We covered the ins-and-outs of report sharing above. As a reminder, all software/tools integrate only with reputable third party platforms for cloud data storage and processing, whenever necessary. Customer and environmental data is transmitted and stored using industry standard encryption methods.
