Specialized test for microplastic particle count and polymer identification in one (1) drinking water sample. Particles between 1 micron (μm) and 10μm are reported as presence/absence and particles 10μm and larger are quantified and polymer types are identified.
Please note: Particles greater than 10um may not be identified by polymer if their smaller dimension is less than 10um due to analytical limitations. Additionally, the smallest sizes of microplastics are typically the most difficult to detect but they are the most abundant. Methods for microplastics analysis are rapidly improving and inter-lab comparisons can be difficult.
